Emailing old eDot users

Post by unsigned_char72 » Mon Mar 12, 2012 4:41 am

I would like to send an email message to all past eDot users to inform them that the old site is down and that we made the migration to the new server/board. I think there are lot of people out there who don't know what happened so it would be nice to rescue them, thus restoring the large part of the community.

The problem anyway is that I'm not good at writing English, so would someone please help me by writing the text of the message?

The message should be short, informing just of the move and of the new address (with the need to register again). Then a more lengthy note could explain what happened in detail (domain not renewed=>site offline=>new site by cowfodder=>rescue of the old contents).

Please if you can write a such message add it to this thread or PM me. Thank you.

P.S. the message will be sent to 13,809 email addresses!

I think we did that during the initial move?

I don't think we have sent emails, or at least I am not aware of that. If I remember well, there was only an attempt by GK77.

I still have the addresses rescued in 2011, they are 13809 in total, but I'm afraid most of them aren't working anymore.
